Dorothy Richards, our club President gave all the members a very successful 'President's Day'. Dorothy and her family prepared a marvellous afternoon tea for us all and many thanks for the wonderful food we were served (see photos).

There was a spider competition at the beginning in aid of Devon Air Ambulance, our President's chosen chatrity this year. Bev Cann was the winner of the bottle of whisky. No one got onto the green without Arthur Turner getting the fee at the gate! We have collected all year for this charity and several of us have willingly given over 50p for wrong biases during the season.

The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed a bowling afternoon arranged by the club captains with a friendly game of triples being carried out. The winners were Robin Scott's team of Jane Flower and John Heal, runners up were Trevor Newbery's team with Les Bradfield and Di Hammett. Lucky recipients of the booby prize were Muriel Scott with her team of the captain Eric Flower and Sue Grigg. Many thanks for a great day out at the club, these get togethers are a really good addition to out bowling programme.
